Blood Pressure

Routine Blood Pressure checks by appointment only with a Healthcare Assistant or Practice Nurse.

Blood Tests

Blood tests are available by appointment only either with a Healthcare Assistant or Phlebotomist.

If you need a blood test and can’t attend the surgery during routine opening times you may be interested in a phlebotomy service that is provided at various Practices in the area. This service is also able to offer blood test appointments for children over the age of 2 years.

Cervical Cytology (Smears)

All routine cervical smears are undertaken by our Practice Nurses. National guidelines state that routine smears should commence at age 25 and continue at 3 yearly intervals up to the age of 50. After the age of 50, guidelines state that the interval should be 5 years.

Book a clinic appointment with any of our nurses at the Practice or ask about availability in the Extended Hours clinics held on evenings and weekends.

For further information about cervical screening follow the link https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cervical-screening/

Long-term Conditions Clinic (LTC) including Diabetes & Hypertension

Please ensure that you attend for your review when invited. We also have a Practice Diabetic Specialist Nurse to support patients with more complex Diabetic requirements

Phlebotomy

We have a phlebotomist in the Practice if you require a Blood Test. We can also offer appointments in the phlebotomy service that is provided at various Practices in the area. This service is also able to offer blood test appointments for children over the age of 2 years.

Seasonal Flu Clinics

If you come to the Practice for your vaccination and you are also eligible for the pneumonia vaccine and/or the shingles vaccine we will try and provide this at the same time. All the money that we earn from NHS England for providing this service goes back into the day to day running of the Practice to help us provide services all year round.
